We organise a considerable number of dynamic and innovative cultural heritage and costumed interpretation events, and tourism development projects within the UK, with over 600 organised since the company’s formation in 1999.

With an unrivalled position within the historical events industry, Historical Promotions is in a unique position with the company’s director, Rob Butler holding nearly 30 years experience as a professional archaeologist and historical event organiser. This enables the company to combine our archaeological and historical expertise and professionalism in designing, organising, managing, delivering and marketing superb live historical events for our clients and the public to enjoy.

As an award winning company, we have built up an impressive client base and work with many prestigious clients on cultural heritage projects including the National Trust, English Heritage, The Royal Air Force and many local authorities, museums, historic properties, show organisers and corporate clients within the UK. We have also organised events for the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk and Duke of Northumberland, and have performed for Her Majesty the Queen, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester and former Prime Minster Tony Blair.

Our international commitments within the cultural heritage events and tourism sector are varied and diverse, with recent projects undertaken for the Government of Japan and Government of Gibraltar.

Historical Promotions and Event Management is a multi-disciplinary company that designs, plans, co-ordinates and delivers cultural heritage events for virtually every historical period with a complete Historical Event Service for our clients. Our range of historical periods and events covers live interpretation, re-enactments, multi-period spectaculars, Medieval festivals, battles and sieges, historical markets and fayres, maritime events and air shows, craft demonstrations, historical arena events, jousting and equestrian shows, walkabout and street entertainment, historical costumed characters, lectures and talks and children’s activities. We also have a unique bespoke events service, which tailors our clients' requirements to suit and a number of ‘off the shelf’ proposals for event programmes.

We offer a comprehensive historical entertainment service to our clients in the corporate hospitality and publicity sectors with brand promotions, marketing, premiers, product launches and celebrity personal appearances. Our services also include themed weddings, banquet entertainment and various specialist-training packages available for clients within the heritage industry.
